Fractional CMO Service — The Smartest Way to Work With Us

Our most popular engagement is our Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) service. For $7,000 per month, clients get access to executive-level marketing leadership which includes 50 points worth of services.

This gives you:

  • Ongoing strategic oversight and marketing leadership

  • Project management and coordination of Arrowleaf’s creative, digital, and strategic services

  • Flexibility to shift focus as your priorities evolve month-to-month

If you use more than 50 points in a given month, no problem—we simply charge $140 per additional point.

What’s a Point Worth?

Below is a sample of standard services and their corresponding point values. These values represent a typical scope of work for each item. If your needs go beyond standard (e.g. extensive revisions, large-scale changes, or complex project scope), we’ll let you know ahead of time if the point value will increase—no surprises.

*Some services have additional third-party costs, such as web hosting, domain purchases, event travel, or press release distribution. These are billed separately and transparently. In fact part of our operating procedures is to keep you in charge and not take your marketing hostage, so we prefer your credit card/bank be attached to third-parties rather than us.

Not ready for a full Fractional CMO engagement? You can still access our services using the same point system. À la carte clients are charged $225 per point.

Short message (e.g. product launch, tradeshow announcement, etc.). A series can eventually be 2 points each.

Newsletter

15-30 Points/10 Points

15-30 points is design and creation of the first newsletter, and 10 points for each additional newsletter. Doesn’t include costs for marketing automation or distribution software.

Webinar

4-6 Points

May have additional costs for webinar software and to acquire subject matter experts and additional personnel to participate.

Staff Management

5 Points

If you have marketing personnel on staff that you’d like us to manage for you, we can do that for 5 Points per person per month. Note: We don’t have them work on projects we bill you for. E.g. you were spending 8 Points per month having us manage your social media, but if we direct your staff and teach them to do it then you can spend that 8 Points on another Arrowleaf project.

RFP Writing

35 Points for Template/8 Points Per RFP (+2% commission for first 3 years on wins)

Provide us with a few of your largest previous RFP responses and we’ll use that content to understand your business and create a template that optimizes your content for use in future RFPs. Then you can take the template and run with it, or have us work on individual RFPs with potential commission.

System/Tool Administration

2-16 Points

Per month to be your admin of a CRM, marketing automation platform, sales tool, etc. This is just basic administration and maintenance and the points vary based on the system (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator Admin is 2 Points or Salesforce Admin is 16 Points). Special projects or development in those systems cost additional points and/or third-party fees based on the project.

Carrying Over of Project Points?

Our standard policy is that we do not carry over unused points to the next month. However, we can make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. This policy exists to prevent the possibility of a client continually rolling over points and then attempting to use more points than we are prepared to scale to in a given month. But typically if I client spends in excess of their 50 points, we will choose to apply unused points from the previous month if possible.

Fractional CMO service can be cancelled without notice within the first 30 days, after the first 30 days of Fractional CMO services we require 30 days notice of cancelation.
